2018 TABLE SETTING IN THE INDONESIAN NAVY: FACILITATING LEARNING WITH VIDEOS
This study is aimed to create a learning media that can improve student’ s learning outcomes in the subject of †œTable Manner†focusing on †œTable Settingâ€. This study was applying †œBorg and Gall research development modelâ€. The subject of this study was 65 Navy Enlisted trainees in Housekeeping. By treating a different way from a controlled class, a taped video containing subject matter was mainly delivered in an experimental class. And a posttest was conducted to clarify the final result of learning for both type of classes. It has been proven that posttest result of an experimental class has a higher mean than in a controlled class. Researcher believed that the use of video as a learning media boost trainees potential to achieve the learning outcomes. In other words, the developed product of learning video would potentially increase trainee understanding toward the subject matter.

2018 The Role of Multimodal Communication in Language Learning: Making Meaning in Conventional Learning Spaces
There is space in conventional learning on language learning that must be filled with various ways or methods of delivering information, so it can be delivered to students. The space can be filled out by referring to the principle of multimodal communication by Kress and Van Leeuwen (1996) on how people communicate using different modes at the same time. This paper does not present the results of an analysis of a product design using semiotic mode with multimodality analysis as a procedure of analysis, but it is a theoretical study by linking the principles of multimodal communication with learning theory so that it can be applied in language learning. Therefore, this paper is intended for the purpose of how the delivery of a message by using more than one semiotic modes in language learning in order to make the learning of a conventional nature becomes more meaningful. The use of verbal communication, images, and video as a multimodal communication product in this case has its own role in facilitating language learning. Space in conventional learning methods on language learning can be filled by combining verbal communication, images, and video in the learning process. It will be able to make learning more interesting.

2017 The influence of metacognition and E-Learningto Learning outcomes on reading English texts
English has 4 language skills and 2 language components. Language skills include, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Meanwhile, two language components are grammar and vocabulary. At the level of Senior High School (SMA) the things mentioned above are taught in an integrated way with emphasis on language skills elements focused on reading English texts. The periods are mostly allocated for reading English texts while other components are the supporting elements of the pursuit. Assessments, daily assessments, semester-end assessments, year-end assessments to national assessments (UNBK-CBT), used to determine students' progress in English lessons are focused on reading English texts. The students have many difficulties in understanding English texts. 2017 Cognitive Apprenticeship Model in The Aesthetics and Ergonomics Material of Entrepreneurship Subject on Students' Creativity in Vocational Higher School
This research aims to know the influence of cognitive apprenticeship model against the creativity of students. The research method used is the true experimental research design in form of matched comparison group. In this design, there are two groups which consist of experimental group and control group. While some of the learning processes done by the students through 5 stages starting from preparation until verification obtained the different result in the process of practical learning activities compare with the traditional learning. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference on the application of learning model cognitive apprenticeship in the learning process.

2017 Developing art and cultural learning with instructional video as media for hearing-impaired students
The application of art and culture learning for students of class X in SMALB-B Karya Mulya of Surabaya is not maximum because it is still using the conventional method; the teacher as the main subject of learning. SMALB-B student characteristics auditory has auditory limitations resulting poor invocabulary. Based on these problems, the research was conducted with the aim at creating and developing the products of art and culture instructional video for students of class X in SMALB-B Karya Mulya of Surabaya. This research is adapted from Four-D Thiagarajan & Semmel (1974). Diklat berbasis kompetensi diselenggarakan untuk mengatasi diskrepansi kompetensi PNS agar kemampuan PNS lulusan diklat sesuai dengan kompetensi yang diharapkan. Salah satu komponen dalam diklat berbasis kompetensi adalah kurikulum yang berbasis kompetensi berdasar pada kebutuhan akan kompetensi peserta diklat. Dalam rangka memenuhi tuntutan perkembangan jaman berikut situasi dan kondisi di masyarakat, pengembangan kurikulum diklat perlu dilakukan. Pengembangannya tetap menyesuaikan dengan landasan pengembangan kurikulum, yakni landasan filosofis, psikologis, sosiologis dan IPTEK. Pengembangan kurikulum diklat berbasis kompetensi juga menyesuaikan dengan model kurikulum yang dikehendaki, sehingga kurikulum tersebut nantinya dapat menghasilkan lulusan diklat dengan kemampuan sesuai yang diinginkan. 2017 Development Electronic Module On Subject Matter Kalor For Junior High School Student
This study aims to develop electronic module media viable and effective in science subjects and subject matter kalor for students of class VII G SMPN 34 Surabaya. The type of research used is research development. Model used is ADDIE Model with stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Data collection techniques are interviews, questionnaires and tests. Based on the analysis that has been done, it can be deduced that the validation results media from media experts and subject matter experts are worthy of media used by the revision. The results of product testing questionnaire to students of class VII SMPN 34 Surabaya, it can be concluded that:(a) the results of individual testing percentage of 83.33%(excellent),(b) the results of a small group of test percentage 87%(excellent),(c) the results of field trials percentage of 88.15%(excellent). With these results, the media electronic module is fit for use. In addition to the results of the calculation of the ratio between pretest and posttest performed is greater than the t table 4.94> 2.02809. This indicates that the electronics module in science subjects and subject matter kalor effectively to improve student learning outcomes.
